This on-line clearinghouse of searchable software reviews has been created by SREB and the NC Department of Public Instruction.

Educational Software Institute (on-line catalog)

This is the on-line version of ESI's comprehensive software catalog. Users may choose to register with ESI and purchase software on-line. Non-registered users may search the catalog database by subject, grade level, hardware platform, and a variety of other criteria.

Educational Resources (on-line catalog)

This is another on-line catalog from one of the largest distributors of educational software in the country.

Eisenhower National Clearinghouse

The federally-funded Eisenhower National Clearinghouse (ENC) contains considerable amounts of information on technology and software applications that support math and science instruction. In addition to software reviews, the ENC Clearinghouse contains lesson plans and other resources.

Kidsdomain Childrens' Software Reviews

This site links to a number of reviews of educational, family-oriented, and "edu-tainment" software.

Seven Steps to Responsible Software Selection

Written by Ken Komoski of the EPIE Institute, this ERIC Digest details a seven-step process for educators interested in reviewing and choosing classroom applications. The Digest also includes a bibliography of useful books and articles on educational software selection.
