Project Evaluation Examples
Here are some examples of school district evaluation projects which utilized the methodologies outlined on this site.
Fayette County (KY) Public Schools Evaluation
In
the the 1999/2000 school
year, Fayette County (Lexington, KY) Public Schools initiated what
has become an annual assessment of technology's impact on teaching
and learning. This evaluation started with the district's engaging
in the Three-Stage Technology Evaluation detailed in the Process portion
of Edtechevaluation.org. This work was also featured in our article "How
Do We Know It's Working -- Designing an Authentic Assessment for
Educational Technology" found
in the April, 2000 issue of Learning & Leading with Technology.
St.
Louis Public Schools Technology Evaluation Report
This central Michigan district engaged in an assessment of their
district-wide technology plan during the 2001/2002 school year.
This link provides full details on the process as well as the
final evaluation report.
Warren County Public Schools (KY) Evaluation Final Report
This report, from 1996, was commissioned to provide a basic "audit" of where
this district stood in terms of the integration of technology at the school
and classroom level. Subsequently, this report was more of a summative evaluation
than our typical formative work. Nevertheless, this project represents a detailed
data collection and reporting effort which has continued to guide and inform
the client's technology implementation.
