Sample Indicator Matrices

All Sun Associates evaluation projects are rooted in a set of program performance indicators that are created unique to each project. The so-called “indicator matrix” starts with project goals that are then articulated into evaluation research questions. Each of these questions is essentially answered by a related indicator of what it will look like - qualitatively and quantitatively - when the project successfully meets its performance objectives. The evaluation matrix organizes all of this information, along with guidelines on what data needs to be collected in response to the indicator, and thereby forms the roadmap for a project evaluation.

Here are two different sample evaluation indicator matrices:
